Mario & Emily Martinez
Our Story

Pistachio Entertainment Group was founded in 2010 by Mario and Emily Martinez, who met touring and performing live all over the world with Australia’s most successful children’s entertainment company “The Wiggles”.

Pistachio Entertainment have also worked with ABC kids, BBC Cebebbies Australia and several others entertainment companies. Both Mario & Emily have been teaching and performing for over 15 years in theatres, shopping centres, private functions, pre-schools, primary and high schools, dance schools and gymnasiums enjoying sharing their passion of performing for children.

Pistachio Entertainment Group is also passionate about encouraging healthy lifestyle habits. Not only does regular activity during early childhood impact on immediate and long-term healthy outcomes, but also these good habits become the foundations for later years.

Creative Director
Emily Martinez

Co-Founder of Pistachio Entertainment, has a wealth of experience delivering stylish, unique, professional artists and entertainers for corporate events & private functions.

A passion for performing, coupled with a love of entertaining children has shaped her into a successful business woman with experience in choreography, costuming, casting, staff development, consultation and entertainment management.

With decades of formal training under her belt, Emily’s passion for dance has taken her to all corners of the globe. From touring with Tony Price Productions in children’s pantomimes, performing at overseas theme parks, to touring the world with The Wiggles, first as a Wiggly Dancer and subsequently starring as Dorothy the Dinosaur from 2006 to 2009. She has worked with ABC kids, BBC  and Cebebbies Australia.

Emily’s enthusiasm for entertaining children expands beyond TV and touring, with the creation of Pistachio Entertainment in 2010. Their desire to deliver ‘something different’ in the world of entertainment has seen the business continue to diversify to cater for an ever-expanding demand. Emily is proud to have established relationships with leading stylists, event planners, and venues working together to create the best in custom entertainment packages.

Emily has combined her Diploma in Performing Arts with her own in-the-field experience to create a unique business offering in Pistachio Entertainment. She is also the creator of the Pistachio Active Dance and Fitness Program. This program has been successfully implemented in a variety of educational settings.

Managing Director
Mario Martinez Diaz

Mario has always loved dancing and performing from an early age.

He grew up in Mexico and Colombia and holds a Bachelor and a Master degree in Architecture from the University of New South Wales. After working in design studios such as innovarchi and the global practice Woods Bagot, in May 2005 he made one of his most challenging decisions and attended the open auditions for the Latin American Wiggles. Luckily  he was successful and landed a role as one of the Wiggly Dancers.

Since then he has performed live for audiences around the world and has appeared in numerous Wiggles DVD’s and TV series. His management skills were also used to perform and act as the Wiggles company tour manager.

Other productions and shows include: The Kingdom of Paramithi, Channel Nine, Antonio’s Baby Circus, ABC, Zingzillas Live Concerts Cebeebies in Australia.

In 2010 he co-created Pistachio Entertainment with his partner Emily.

Event Coordinator & Office Administrator
Amy Price

Amy had a love of performing from a very young age. From dancing to singing she was always looking for her next opportunity to entertain.

This love of the stage fuelled a vast array of vocal performances at venues like the Metro Theatre, The Vanguard & festivals like Bluesfest and Tamworth Country Music Festival. 
Amy completed her Bachelor of Music majoring in Contemporary Voice in 2012 and featured as a lead vocalist in both corporate and original bands for many years.
Alongside singing she took up Latin dance in 2018 and quickly became an instructor teaching for 3 years.

In 2015 she started working at Moshtix where she developed a love and passion for events and venues.

The skills she developed from her time at Moshtix are now being used to help coordinate and manage events at the wonderful Pistachio Entertainment.
