How is payment made?

A 100% deposit is required to secure the booking.
Confirmation of final guest/birthday child numbers is required seven days prior to your party date.
Payment can be made online or you may call our office and we shall process your credit card payment over the phone.
We accept Visa, MasterCard or Bank Direct Deposit.

Do you have a minimum/maximum attendance?

Events may be booked for up to 15 or more children. If less than 15 attend your party, you will still be charged for 15 children. Maximum attendance for most parties is 25 children including the guest of honour. Numbers include guest of honour and any siblings.
1 Host can entertain up to 15 children.
2 hosts can entertain up to 25 children.
For more than 25 children we will need to provide 3 entertainers.
For large events a separate package and conditions will apply.

When do you need the final RSVP count?

Please contact Pistachio Entertainment once you have determined how many children will be attending the party. You can contact us via email or by phone. If we have not heard from you, you will be contacted 5 days prior to your party to review the RSVP’s that have been received, and to determine the exact headcount for your event. This will be the number we use to plan appropriate quantities of favours and activities, and advance invoice cost of preparing your party.

Please remember, you will be charged for the final headcount you gave prior to the party, regardless of a child not showing.

Can siblings of the guest’s stay?

They may, as long as siblings are supervised. We provide many accessories that contain small parts at many of our parties and they may not be appropriate for small children.
Please remember that our party packages, covers only the birthday child and their guests. We do not accommodate unexpected guests or siblings of guests, as we prepare our parties based on the final headcount given to us prior to the party.

What happens if guests arrive late?

Because our parties are based on a schedule, they work best when all guest arrive at the scheduled party start time. Those guests coming late may join the party at whatever point it has progressed to.

Do adults stay during the party?

Parents and other adults are always welcome to stay and enjoy the fantasy. Because we strive to make the birthday child and their guests the centre of attention, we kindly request your assistance in keeping the noise level down so the children are not distracted, and are able to hear the Party presenter to follow directions.

Will your artists help us sing happy birthday and cut the cake?

– Yes absolutely! Our entertainers are more than happy to bring the children to the cake table, initiate “Happy Birthday” and pose for photos. Please have the cake ready with candles and allow 10minutes before the conclusion of the entertainment if you would like this included.

Do you provide Food or Cake?

We usually recommend that the children eat before the entertainment starts.
There will also be a short break after the first 45-50 minutes entertainment starts when you can serve the main food during this time
The hosts will start the 1-1 activities such as face painting or balloon shapes.

Can you incorporate our own games into your Pistachio party package?

Yes we can work with you on the day and we will call you several times before the event to schedule your activities with pour party plan.

When is my final party payment due?

Confirmation of final guest/birthday child numbers is required seven days prior to your party date and this information is used to calculate your final party invoice amount. Final payment of the outstanding amount is required three days prior to your party date. You will be emailed your invoice with payment instructions.
Failure to make final payment may result in cancellation of the event.

How far ahead should I book my party?

Given our size we can usually accommodate bookings at short notice, however it is always best to book in as soon as possible to ensure you receive the entertainer of your choice at your preferred party time. In terms of last minute bookings, their availability will vary from week to week depending upon how busy we may be and the number of entertainers we have available.

What happens if I have to cancel my party?

Pistachio Entertainment is under no obligation to arrange the performance until the deposit is received. Cancellations made a minimum of one week prior to event date will be fully refunded; Cancellations made within one week will forfeit their deposit;
Once a party has been confirmed and a Non Refundable deposit paid, parties may only be postponed. We will gladly work with you to find an alternative party date for your consideration, based on availability. If your party is unable to be rescheduled, a cancellation fee will apply.

Who takes care of a guest if they become ill, are a behaviour problem, or do not want to participate?

They will need to be attended to you or by a helper. Our party activities and hosts/performer are structured however to handle and minimise such instances.

If the weather is nice, can I have my party outdoors?

Yes, but the party must take place on a non-dirt area. Some great places for outdoors are garages, patios and alfresco areas.

Can you guarantee my requested Performer?

Every effort is made to ensure your requested performer will attend your party event. We cannot guarantee your requested performer will attend if he/she is unavailable due to illness, during peak times or has a theatre/musical production role. Rest assured all of our performers are of high performance standard.

Can we book parties in parks?

Yes it is ok with us, you may need to check with your local council.

Will Pistachio Entertainment provide music and their own sound system?

Yes we provide our own sound system and props.

Can your entertainers help us facilitate our own games (e.g. piñata)?

Yes we can work with you on the day and we will call you several times before the event to schedule your activities with pour party plan.

Changing Rooms/ Will your entertainer arrive in costume?

No. Our entertainers will arrive early to set up, get the sound and props ready and the they will ask you for a place to get changed in costume.
If you wish to have the host arriving in character we can organise this for you.

What happens if there is inclement weather or there is an illness?

In the case of severe weather Pistachio Entertainment  reserves the right to reschedule your party. If the guest of honour becomes ill, we will gladly work with you to choose an alternative date for your party, based on availability.

Do your hosts and performers hold Working With Children Checks?

Yes, each host and performer holds a current and valid Working With Children Card/Check.

Do you have insurance?

Yes we have public liability insurance. Our safety record is unblemished and we take pride in our attention to detail which is key to this fact.

Your obligation?

Provide a safe and clean area for dress up and fun activities
Remain with the party
Provide a gathering place for parents of the guests who wish to stay

Some things to consider about having your party outdoors

Have a back-up plan and space indoors in the event of bad weather or a very hot/cold day.
SUN BLOCK!!! We are not responsible for application and making sure children do not get sunburned.
